Mary Braithwaite PhD FAS Scot: Curiosities on Luing ACFA’s survey with Luing History Group started in 2016, led by Dugie Macinnes. Over four hundred features on, and still not quite finished, some intriguing sites have been discovered – a ‘mickey mouse’ cellular structure, a ‘not the burnt mound’, Dugie’s ‘chapel’, promontory earthworks, two possible fortified homesteads and what could be a late prehistoric farm on the ridge between Luing’s two fine duns.
